On the Duty of Civil Disobedience
American Democracy died July 25th, 2016 in Philadelphia, after a long illness. American Democracy was 240 years old. Born on July 4, 1776, the birth was accompanied by complications and fears of failure-to-thrive. Birth-trauma was overcome with the end of the Revolutionary War and the subsequent Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia on May 14, 1787. American Democracy was a promising child of Common Good and Written Law, and belonged to a prominent family descendent from The Enlightenment.
